Zeitgenössischer Tanz Berlin e.V. – New Board of Director

The ZTB, representing the interests of dance professionals working in Berlin, has in its general meeting on 18th October 2010 a new board elected. This was confirmed on 20/04/2011 by the General Assembly in its new constellation

The Board members are:

David Brandtstaetter (dancer and choreographer)
Canan Erek (choreographer, dancer and teacher)
Renate Graziadei (dancer and choreographer,
Norbert Kliesch (former dancer, cultural managers, and from 2008 worked in the employment agency),
Georg Lurtz (tax consultant) and
Thilo Wittenbecher (Theater Studies, director of the Mime Centrum Berlin).

The 1 Chairman, Renate Graziadei,
for the 2 Chairman Norbert Kliesch was chosen
the Office of the Treasurer, Georg Lurtz.
The General Assembly unanimously elected the new Board
for up to 10/17/2012 (2 years).

For election to the board members had a common Programmatic made
- for the selected period, they will turn to two areas of work very closely:

The members of the board of directors had declared their candidacy with a common program. For the elected period, they will focus intently on two work areas:

1: COMMUNICATION.

The goal is to develop an up-to-date communication structure and strategy in order to reach a maximum number of Berlin’s active dance makers – from all styles, nationalities and generations – and to support their exchange.

Subjects:

Transparency and functions in Berlin’s “dance world”
Internationality and language: how do we develop an expansive exchange among different nationalities?
Usable information platforms: website, Facebook, newsletter, platforms for communication among protagonists
Cooperation: Tanzbüro, TanzRaumBerlin Network, HZT, TanzZeit, Dachverband Tanz, among others

2: WORKSHOP: DANCE IN THE FUTURE

The goal is to create a continual and solution-oriented discourse about the context for artistic work in the field of dance.

Subjects:

The real interests, needs and expectations of dance makers
Determining the status quo: representation of interests, locations, projects, networks, political work, support structures
Dream World: utopias of artistic work, new forms of work, art and the public realm, guaranteed basic income

First events were held in January and April 2011 and will continue.
